The All Progressive Congress (APC) House of Representatives member, representing Nember/Brass Federal Constituency, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, has boasted that the outcome of November 16 gubernatorial election will shock the state ruling party, PDP.
Sunny-Goli, in an interview, said those insisting that Bayelsa is a traditional PDP State where APC cannot win are not obvious of the reality on ground due to the alleged abject poverty the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government has subjected the people of Bayelsa to. He said PDP has nothing to convince the people of  Bayelsans about its candidate.
"On November 16, PDP will get the shocker at the poll. APC would not only come out victoriously, it will win with landslide victory. What is PDP going to use to campaign? After eight years, they could not provide streetlights for the people. It has been constructing the only expressway for eight years which is an eyesore. Mark it today; APC will give PDP a shocker," he concluded.
On the choice of the APC flag-bearer, David Lyon and his running mate, Degi Eremienyo, Sunny-Goli urged Bayelsans to vote for the pair as they would use their disposition and patriotic zeal to serve the state.
Finally, the federal lawmaker also lamented on the high level of insecurity and relative poverty in the state, the PDP led government is insensitive to the sufferings of Bayelsans and APC will alleviate the plight of Bayelsans if voted into power on November 16.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids".
