Bayelsa guber: Our mega rally, red card for David Lyon---PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday said the crowd of people that attended its governorship campaign in Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area on Saturday, is a resounding declaration by the people to kick out APC on November 16.
The party in a statement added that the crowd “is also an unmistaken demonstration of the fact that Bayelsa  remains a home to the PDP, which will further manifest in PDP’s landslide victory at the November 16 election.”
It further added: “The party notes that the earthshaking jubilation and ovation that greeted the PDP candidate, Diri and his running mate,Lawrence , established the people’s confidence and preference for the PDP and its candidate, over and above David Lyon on all fronts.
“The PDP has been made aware of the gloom, hopelessness and dejection in the APC camp, which is depleting by the day, following Senator Douye Diri's soaring popularity and acceptability across the voting demography across Bayelsa  state.
“David Lyon is gradually coming to terms with the fact that he will soon found himself standing alone to face his inevitable prize for failure and disdain for the people of  
Bayelsa state.
“Governor Bello now knows that the people of Kogi state cannot be intimidated by threats of violence neither can they be bought, enticed or beguiled with filthy offers. They have since made up their minds to repay Bello in his own coin for the pain and anguish he inflicted on them in the last four years and nothing can change this resolve.
“The only thing that is collectively paramount to the people of Kogi state is that Yahaya Bello is voted out to make way for a purposeful, people-oriented and transparent administration under Engr. Wada.”
It further urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security forces to resist any attempt to make them compromise on the integrity of the electoral process.

Just in: Victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nembe called on Douye Diri to come to their aids.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids". If nothing is done, we are going to stage a peaceful protest to lodge our complain...
