Bayelsa Guber: PDP is jittery--- Jonathan Amos

The Bayelsa State Chairman of APC ,  Mr Jonathan Amos , has accused the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of being apprehensive over the ever increasing acceptability of the David Lyon  brand by the people of Bayelsa State.
Amos  said this can be seen in the flurry of press releases issued by the PDP on virtually everything that happens in the state, whether it is on internal APC issues or the election.
He said: “There’s been an upsurge in the press releases of the PDP calling on whoever would listen that there is plot here and there to undermine the forthcoming election as if the institutions of state do not know their duty”
“The PDP Governorship candidate, Senator Douye Diri recently disclosed that David Lyon was spoiling for violence by arming his supporters with arms and that security agents should arrest youths with illegal arms”
“We know that the APC did not make any overt declaration or call to violence or civil disobedience. You can see that our supporters are going about the campaign based on the directive of our leaders, Timipre Sylva and David Lyon for us to eschew violence or as they say, we come in peace but mean business”.
“All this are just feeble attempts to keep their drowning ship afloat. They are anxious and jittery because of the latest turn of things in the state. The APC is in full control, the momentum and polls are impressive and in our favour, so you can understand”.
“Our media team has been engaging them on issues with facts and figures while they have been resorting to insults.

Just in: Victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nembe called on Douye Diri to come to their aids.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids". If nothing is done, we are going to stage a peaceful protest to lodge our complain...
