Ex-millitant leader Charles Kurobo shunned APC and joined PDP ahead of the Nov. 16 governorship election.

The Chairman Southern Ijaw PDP Grassroot Movement and SA to Gov. Dickson on Special Duties, Hon. Salvation Ibena Rufus accompanied with the brand new Chairman of Apoi/Olodiama Rural Development Authority, Hon. Pere Alfred alongside top PDP stakeholders in ward 15 officially received APC staunch man form SILGA and a grassroot mobilizer Gen. Charles Korubo and his teeming supporters in his hometown Apoi
Gen. Charles in his speech thanked Gov. Seriake Dickson for making the enabling environment for him to return back to the PDP and the opportunity given to him to serve as SA on General Duties. He further warned Bayelsans to be wary of the deceptive antics of the opposition APC in the forthcoming November 16th Governorship election and cast their votes for the PDP, adding that, People Democratic Party in the state is the only party with the right structure to win election in Bayelsa State.
Speaking on the benefits received from the restoration Government by the people of Apoi community, the CDC Chairman Mr. Mathew Duba stated that, the present Government has given political appointment to their sons in a strategic areas and has equally build and renovated school buildings and Staffs quarters in the community. He urge all sons and daughters to fully queue behind the umbrella to ensure victory come Nov 16th.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids". If nothing is done, we are going to stage a peaceful protest to lodge our complain...
