The All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated national campaign councils for the forthcoming governorship elections in Bayelsa states, directing all governors on its platform to execute the polls.
While the Kaduna state Governor, Mallam Nasir El-rufai, will lead the campaign team in Kogi, his counterpart in Jigawa, Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, will lead the campaign in Bayelsa.
Speaking at the inauguration, Friday at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, urged the committee to carry out their assignments regarding the elections with all determination.
Oshiomhole said: “Let me use this opportunity to assure our opponent that we are ready for campaign and elections.”
Responding, the Kano state Governor, Dr. Umar Ganduje, who stood in for Jigawa state governor, said: “It is a matter of democracy that all votes must count in the coming election in Bayelsa state.”

Just in: Victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nembe called on Douye Diri to come to their aids.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids". If nothing is done, we are going to stage a peaceful protest to lodge our complain...
