On Behalf of the APC family in Southern-Ijaw , I Congratulate you on your emergence as the Governor Elect of Bayelsa State in the just concluded governorship elections held on Saturday 16th November, 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives  Congress (APC).
Your victory is a victory for all Bayelsans irrespective of political affiliation as it shows that the hand of the Almighty God is truly on our dear state. May your renowned brilliance not be eclipsed by greed and quest for selfish and personal aggrandizement. Your emergence is a major pointer that politics today is tilting towards meritocracy and not god-fatherism 
Your campaign slogan of Next Level is one which encapsulates the whole yearning of the masses and i expect that you will hit the ground running as you face this daunting task. The task ahead is enormous but the fact that you have goodwill from across board should make the task a bit easy for you and I hope that you will use this goodwill to make the entire APC family and Bayelsans proud of you.
Let your word be your bond. Let there be a positive difference seen and felt across the state. The best way to thank Bayelsans for this mandate is by giving it your best shot and delivering on your campaign promises.
I want to respectfully remind you that you are here to represent Bayelsans not your zone or family members. I  urge you to dare to be different. A lot of trust and confidence has been bestowed upon you and Bayelsans expect that you do not disappoint them. You should not be sectional in your development .
You should  improve the welfare of  civil servants , also provide affordable education for all and address security in the state.
Once again, Congratulations Your Excellency and thanks for your tenacity, steadfastness and consistent courage.
The work starts now!!!! It’s time to write your name in gold.

Ayerite Moses on issues of Ijaw national interest.  He seized the opportunity to commend him for his pragmatic leadership to the Opu-Nembe youths and the kingdom, while Mr Ebilade reinstated that building bridges of brotherhood and friendship is the only sure path for a united front for the Ijaw Nation as we move into "A New Era." Just in: Victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nembe called on Douye Diri to come to their aids.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids". If nothing is done, we are going to stage a peaceful protest to lodge our complain...
