Bayelsa Poll : Cogent reasons why Bayelsans will elect David Lyon

Politics is not a game of sentiment but of numbers. Love and acceptability by the electorate who have the absolute power in electing their leaders is critical. There must be proof that the candidate has  the capacity to drive good governance which is built on equity, fairness and justice to all in respective of tribe and religion. This is a critical component of good governance in any civilized society. That is how leaders are assessed for their worthiness to occupy the position of leadership.
This is one of the factors that have worked for David Lyon greatly in Bayelsa State, especially in the forthcoming November 16,  governorship election.   David Lyon has displayed a great  sense of love and unity to the people of Kogi State  for  more than a decade.
David Lyon only believes in what any indigene of the state can offer for the development and the unity of the state irrespective of family background. This will go a long way in uniting the people of Bayelsa State who have been so divided politically before the emergence of Lyon as the standard bearer of APC.
The statement recently credited to PDP , few days to the governorship election, accusing David Lyon and his party of recruiting thugs for November 16 governorship election , is quite unfortunate and senseless coming from a party that  has ruled the state for many years with nothing to show for it. Sometimes, out of desperation to hijack power by all means, people make all sorts of comments without considering the past.
The PDP governor, Seriake Dickson who has enjoyed huge federal allocation and also has borrowed a lot of money under the guise of developing Bayelsa State, but nothing to show for it. Staff salaries and pension arrears have been a major problem due to mismanagement of state resources by the PDP led government in the state.
David Lyon has love and respect for traditional institution and traditional rulers.  David Lyon has worked tirelessly to empower the grassroots who are the major beneficiaries of his surveillance job. David Lyon through this security contract  has record great successes in this regard in Bayelsa State.There is an adage that to whom much is given, much is expected and that is what November 16 governorship election is all about.
David Lyon's endorsement by so many political group and Bayelsans is the best way to go in accepting the will of God, that power comes from God and He gives power to whomever He wishes.

Just in: Victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nembe called on Douye Diri to come to their aids.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids". If nothing is done, we are going to stage a peaceful protest to lodge our complain...
