 A Staunch Southern-Ijaw Ward 14 Youth Leader of the APC has lambasted Yekini Nabena


A renowned activist and youth leader in Southern-Ijaw Ward 14 of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kalasino Titus , has chastised the former spokesman of the APC for saying he is happy that Chief David Lyon was not sworn-in  as Governor of Bayelsa Sate in 2020.

He condemned the former spokesman statement that Lyon did not get the party’s gubernatorial ticket based on merit. Lyon is a committed and supportive party man whose popularity with the members of APC in the state fetched him the party’s ticket in the last gubernatorial election.

According to Kalasino Titus, Yekini Nabena’s taking great pleasure of David Lyon’s sacking as governor-elect by the supreme court verdict only depicts him as antiparty man and a political buccaneer who benefits in inciting violence and division in the party.

He also stated that Mr Nabena, is a frivolous politician who has no grip in his ward and the state. It is on record that he has consistently failed to deliver his wards in previous elections.

The statement of the youth activist and leader reads in part:

“Chief David Lyon got the Governorship ticket in a longing contest between him and others.  Based on his supportive role and contributions to the party members and the party at the state level with the help of the Leader of the party, Chief Timipre Sylva, he was able to win the primaries of the party”.

“Lyon has often showed his loyalty, appreciation and respect to the leader of the party and minister of petroleum resources (state) Chief Timipre Sylva”.

“Chief David Lyon displayed his commitment and loyalty to the party at the just concluded ward and LGA congresses by urging his supporters to throw their weight behind the process even though he was not given the permission to take charge of  his Local Government during the party congress. Lyon was on ground in the last congress to ensure hitch free process but the political wolf , Yekini Nabena was nowhere to be found in the state”.

“I am surprised of Nabena with his claims of knowledge of electioneering process and a party man will say “the party ticket was given to Lyon” this shows the height of his political merchandise and ignorance”.

“It is very glaring that Yekini is a political buccaneer whose activities have always been to dent the image of leaders to score cheap political goals so that to get favour in the presidency. He is among the political  marauders that continuously pur

Just in: Victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nembe called on Douye Diri to come to their aids.

The victims of PDP Campaign Rally in Nember have called on the governor of Bayelsa State to come to their aids. As some of them that sustained high profile injuries and  also lost properties worth thousands of naira, are yet to be compensated by the government. Two of the victims named Tombra Felagha and Teke Toruyai spoke with us and display their displeasure the way the government is handling the issue. "They told us to appear on an inquiry panel constituted by the governor which we did and we also filled forms. We were interviewed and also wrote our properties that were lost as a result of the ugly incident. We were promised to be given the monetary values of our property lost. As I am speaking to you , none of the government officials has called us. Our fear is that the government is about to wind up that is why we are using this medium to call on the governor to come to our aids".
